The latest update for the Exosphere modpack brings a wide range of improvements, new content, and a complete questbook overhaul. One of the most important changes is the replacement of the old quest system with the BMR2 questbook, which features a much higher level of quality. Players can now enjoy a significantly expanded set of quests, all with improved presentation and more in-depth descriptions.
Dedicated quest chapters have been added for various mods and dimensions, including Simple Farming, Backpacks, Simply Swords, Immersive Armors, TConstruct, the Nether, the End, Deeper and Darker, EnderIO, Refined Storage, Industrial Foregoing, Powah, Flux Networks, Draconic Evolution, and a general introduction. A Twilight Forest questline will be included in one of the upcoming updates.
As for mod changes, the pack now runs on Forge version 47.3.33. New mods have been added, including Tinkers Construct, Tinkers’ Levelling Addon, Golden Food!, Chipped, Rechiseled: Chipped, and Friends&Foes. The original Grappling Hook mod has been replaced with Grappling Hook Reforged for better compatibility.
Structural improvements have also been made, fixing over 120 structures that could previously spawn in the overworld void and adding new custom structures ported from BMR2. A new tag, fused_gem, was added for a Simply Swords quest, and the Discord link in the BM:Hub has been updated. Additionally, many mods, the bundled shaders, and the included resource packs have all received updates.
Players are advised not to update their CurseForge profile if they want to keep the original quests, as this update includes major quest-related changes.
At the time of writing, the update files have been uploaded to CurseForge and are currently awaiting approval.
