BM: Exosphere Mid-Game!
Guide to Early-Game BeyondMines: Exosphere!
Guide made by SMP Manager, Alphapheonix04
Wanting to learn more about how to progress? Well I have you covered!
Just a Recap:
In the last Guide to Mid-Game, we covered ShieldsPlus, your all-in-one stop to upgradable shields, Grappling Hook Upgrades for better vertical transportation, better Armor like the Warrior and Heavy set, food and best of all, the way to find the perfect biome you want!
Where you are right now, you should be working on your forever home. Your little shack or small structure or dirt hole you mined into the side of an island will not last you long so hop to it! Get that creative mind zooming!
This Mid-Game guide will guide (no puns intended) you through what you need for the rest of the game. This mainly focuses on early-game power and future mob automation.
Note: If you do not have a decent amount of resources, I suggest not moving on to this step! Go mine and loot!
Power!
Is your Pitiful Generator… pitiful? It sure is. That means it’s time for an upgrade!
Time to work on a MUCH better power source. Magmators! Stuff such as Solar Panels are too much of a pain to make and for the amount you will need.
You will need:
- Quartz (smelted into Silicon)
- Redstone Alloy Ingots (Alloyed with Redstone Dust and Silicon)
- LOTS of Iron!
- Clay
- Coal
- Lava Buckets or Blaze Powder
With these materials you can craft your first Magmator! With your Magmator, you can right-click buckets directly into it or you can take a lava source of your choice (Tesseract in the nether piping into the Magmator or using Sophisticated Backpack's Pipe and Tank upgrades to hold lava, the choice is yours.
FE Network!
A FE Network is a Flux Network consisting of the mod "Flux Networks". Flux Networks is a very versatile mods that helps with semi-wireless power.
Note: you may want to gather Obsidian from the End or from an alternate source before working on Flux Networks.
There are really only two items you need with this.
Flux Plug
Flux Point
The Flux Plug takes out power and puts it into your "Flux Network". The Flux Plug pulls from your Flux Network.
Note: If you want a reserve power source, I suggest a Basic Flux Storage. This can be upgraded eventually but it's nice to have a backup source. This will also fill if you have extra power you aren't using. It's a good way to gauge how much power your using and if you need to upgrade your Magmators or not.
To create a Flux Network, Right-Click on any Flux Network item. Ex, Flux Point or Flux Plug.
You should see a pop-up GUI. On the top-right plus icon, click on the "Create New Network" tab. Name your network whatever you would like and give it a respective color, then press "Create" at the bottom of the GUI.
NOTE!!! PLEASE ADD A PASSWORD OR KEEP YOUR NETWORK PRIVATE! PRIVATE NETWORKS HAVE THE HIGHEST SECURITY.
Once you have a successful network created, your ready for wireless power. If you need to power anything, just place a Flux Point next to it to power directly or use Powah!'s Energy Cables to transfer power out of it.
Now that you have power and a Wireless Network it's time to power up and fight some bosses!
Twilight Forest
It's time to fight bosses in the Twilight Forest! Gear up with your best gear or Simply Swords!
To make a portal to the Twilight Forest, put Roses or Dandelion's around a 2x2 body of water (width x length) and throw a diamond into it. Lighting should strike it, causing it to turn into a sort of nether portal look.
Note: If you want to one-shot the Twilight Forest bosses for the most part, follow my guide on "Max Defence and Max Offence"! (WORK IN PROGRESS)
The first boss you will have to encounter is the Naga. The Naga spawns in the middle of a broken stone Hedge Maze and breaks blocks as it slithers around. Bring a bow or another ranged weapon to aim for it's head! Stay on top of the maze and shoot at the Naga till all of its body disappears and it dies.
After you beat the Naga, it will drop the Naga Trophy. To continue in the Twilight Forest, follow my "Guide to the Twilight Forest". (WORK IN PROGRESS)
The End
Now that you have fought a few bosses, it's time to get set up for some Late-Game items. Kill some Enderman and some Blazes and make some Eyes of Ender to take down that pesky Ender Dragon. The Ender Dragon is the same in vanilla, except it drops Draconium Dust when killed and a Dragon Heart above the bedrock center which you can pick up. These two items are VERY important in advancing in the modpack.
COMMANDS!
In BeyondMines: Exosphere there are a few commands that you should know!
First, /sethome! Using the command /sethome <name> allows you to set a home at the spot you are currently standing at. You can have a max of 2 homes.
Next is /anvil! Never had enough iron to craft an Anvil? No worries! We got you covered.
Another is /crafting! Forgot your Crafting Table or your Wood at your base while mining, don't worry about it!
My favorite one is /enderchest! This pulls up your personal Ender Chest, making storing your expensive items a breeze!
Some might find some use in this... /smithing! This pulls up a Smithing Table to craft all your Netherite and Overpowered Gear!
A bit on the.... rocky side is /stonecutter! I think this speaks for itself.
This is mid-game! Check out the other guides on Extremely Early-Game, Early Game, Late-Game and End-Game!
